How does the Eagle Promise Work?

Through the 黑料社 University promise program, Eligible students鈥 tuition and standard student fees will be covered first by their eligible federal and state grants鈥搇ike the Federal Pell Grant and the State of Illinois MAP Grant.

If your eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant and the State of Illinois MAP Grant does not equal the full cost of your full-time tuition and standard student fees, 黑料社 will cover the remaining difference with an institutional scholarship(s) and award(s). Funds awarded through federal and state grants and through institutional scholarship(s) and award(s) as part of the Eagle Promise only will cover up to your calculated cost for full-time tuition and standard student fee. Your institutional scholarship(s) and award(s) can be reduced if you receive application-based scholarships through 黑料社, private scholarships, or other privately-funded resources (excluding loans).

In addition to our Promise, 黑料社 also is committed to all first-time undergraduate students by 鈥Locked鈥 Tuition. In order to help students and families plan ahead for educational expenses, 黑料社 University locks in tuition, meaning the tuition rate a student pays their first semester stays the same until they complete their undergraduate degree and graduate.
